Packing Advisory

Temperatures are expected to be warm, between 18-27°C in the day, but we can expect cooler evenings at around 11-14°. We are expecting a spot of rain so don’t forget to bring a rain jacket or two and warm layers for the evening. With so much going on in the programme it’s important to pack for all eventualities, from trail running and hiking, to lounging on the beach, and golden-hour drinks to dancing late into the night.

Here’s what we recommend you bring along to make the most of your time at Love Trails Croatia.

Mandatory Kit

Mandatory kit applies to all runs and hikes at Love Trails Croatia. Pack for Krk’s sun, wind and occasional rain. You’re responsible for staying safe, comfortable and self-sufficient on the trails.

Please bring this entire mandatory kit list:

  • Trail running shoes* They must have suitable tread. The trails can often be technical with rough & sharp limestone, so we’d recommend something with a bit of cushion and suitable tread

  • Suitable running race vest or pack to carry your kit

  • Waterproof jacket (depending on the weather at the time)

  • A long sleeved layer (to help warm up after a mid-race dip)

  • Mobile phone (fully charged please)

  • A water reservoir/bottle(s)/flask(s) (We'd suggest a minimum capacity of around 1 litre)

  • A small lightweight cup (There will be no plastic cups at the aid stations - you need to bring your own)

  • Mini first aid kit with a minimum of: wound bandage, 4x adhesive plasters, 4x safety pins, antiseptic wipes/cream, and any personal medication you require*

  • Emergency nutrition, like a bar, fruit or snacks

  • Suncream, or extra layers depending on the forecast

[Mandatory Kit list ends]

*We recommend bringing either two pairs of trail running shoes, or a spare pair of hiking boots, if you're going to be mostly hiking.
