What is Timed Out?
A LOVE TRAILS ORIGINAL · WORLD FIRST
The world's first trail race where the clock stops — so you don't have to. Every race you've ever run made you rush past the best bits.
This is the one that doesn't.
THE BIG IDEA
In a normal race, the clock never stops — so neither can you. The views, the people, the aid stations: the moments that could be magic are the moments you're told to hurry through. Timed Out flips it.
You race the legs against the clock. Then, the second you reach an aid station, the clock times out. It pauses. And the trail turns into a pop-up festival you're free to soak up for as long as you like — with zero penalty to your time.
Race hard. Then properly arrive. Then do it all over again.
It's the only race where stopping is the whole point.
HOW IT WORKS
WHY WE BUILT IT
We got tired of rushing past the best moments of every race we'd ever run.
You train for months, travel to somewhere beautiful, and then spend the whole day staring at the dirt three feet ahead, terrified of losing thirty seconds. You blow through the aid station. You barely look up. You cross the line having seen some but not enough of it.
So we built the opposite. A race where the running is real and timed and earned — but where the moments in between are the ones you came for, not the ones you endure. We called it Timed Out, because at every station, the clock takes a break and so do you.
No one else stops the clock. That's why it's a world first. And it's why people called it the highlight of last year’s week at Love Trails Croatia.
THE IMMERSIVE STATIONS
Forget everything a race aid station has ever been. At Timed Out, each one is its own world:
FAQs
Yes. The running legs are timed and you can absolutely race them. Timed Out just makes sure the rest of the day isn't something you have to sacrifice to do it.
Not at all. Choose the 6km or 17km, take every station slowly, and treat it as the best guided run-and-party of your life. The clock only runs on the legs you choose to push. You can also hike the entire route if you prefer.
The moment you reach a station, your timing pauses. You can stay as long as you want — eat, swim, dance, rest — and it won't affect your time. When you're ready, you start the next leg.
Yes — one entry into Timed Out™ per person is included with every Love Trails Croatia booking.
Then don't. Walk it, hike it, treat the whole thing as a moving festival. Nothing here is mandatory.
It's the only race where stopping is the whole point.
A world first. And you can say you were there.
Timed Out™ is included with every Love Trails Croatia ticket — 29 Sept–4 Oct 2026, Baška, Island of Krk.
