Travelling by car?
Baška is located on the southern coast of Krk Island in Croatia and is easily accessible by road from across Europe.
If you're driving from the UK, France, Germany, Austria or other parts of Europe, the final part of your journey will take you via the Croatian motorway network towards Rijeka. From there, follow signs for Krk Island, crossing the Krk Bridge before continuing south through the island to Baška.
The roads on Krk are well-maintained and suitable for standard vehicles. The final section into Baška follows a scenic coastal road with some winding sections and stunning views across the Adriatic Sea.
Before travelling, we recommend:
- Checking local traffic conditions and border crossing wait times.
- Carrying any required motorway toll payment methods for the countries you'll be travelling through.
- Ensuring you have the legally required safety equipment for each country on your route.
- Downloading offline maps in advance, as mobile signal can occasionally be limited in mountainous areas.
- Once you arrive in Baška, follow signs to your accommodation. The hotel, holiday homes and campsite have dedicated parking, though availability may vary.
Safe travels, and we look forward to welcoming you to Love Trails Croatia.
